Its also known as the UK's largest wholesale meat market supplying everything from Beef, lamb, chicken, cheese, free range, halal, organic to cheeses and seafood.

Good market, we were there at 5am and it did not yet look like sellers were closing up. The selection disappointed me a bit. There was a stall with dry aged beef and beef in general had ample representation. Pork seemed to be a bit less well represented. Various non-traditional parts are still not as easy to find - e.g I could only find one place with pork knuckles (they only sold them in batches of 3 too). Overall many stalls have very comparable selection, it’s not like every stall has their own specialization or something. Birds are represented poorly in my opinion. There was some chicken as well as small whole birds but I could not find any duck at all. Prices were mostly reasonable - beef fillet was a bit on the high end but still of course much cheaper than in a butcher’s. You can pay with a card

All the sellers are very friendly and helpful , so ask for advise if needed . Love this market !!

There is so much history in this place and I can't get bored of taking photos of its interesting architecture. I pass through this space periodically and each time I find something 'new' catching my eye.
