This farmers market should be called the rich man’s gold mine market with its extortionate prices- £14 for (organic) tomatoes. What are they made of - gold? I know that there is a cost of living crisis and the cost of production and supply is expensive but there is money and there is MONEY!! I thought the point of a farmers market was good organic food, for the masses, at a cost effective price. At this rate I would rather shop Greggs in Iceland where you can get 4 steak bakes (two packs) a pack of 4 sausage rolls, and 2 cheese and ham wraps for £10!!!! I gave one star for the rather lovely chai latte I had just before I was about to make my exit, too shocked by the prices to even reach for my tiny purse. If you are on a budget and not of the obviously wealthy set of Balham locals who flock here- please save your self a morning and don’t bother!

A cute little Market. Hurry up to arrive in the morning before all the products are gone. Beautiful vegetables and pastries. Nice vendors. The neighbourhood itself is lovely.

Great to see this school being put to good use at the weekend. The variety of food and fresh produce was 👌. Everyone was really friendly. The sausages and mash made from the ingredients I bought was YUM😍

I particularly love the eggs from Pick's Organic Farm. Best eggs I have ever had and can tell they are happy hens, which is very important to me 🐔 I also like buying my vegetables from here. Let's keep supporting local farms 🙏

I've been going to the market for about 12 years and is still where I buy most of the meat we eat as a family. Although some stalls are on a rota and appear every 2/3/4 weeks, others are there every week. Between the stalls you can get superb quality beef, lamb, pork, veal, chicken, duck and game (venison, boar, guinea fowl, pigeon, rabbit). There's cheese most weeks, an excellent fishmonger and a variety of veg stalls and 2 bread stalls. Well worth a visit
