There are lot of food choices and I have tried a few ranges from different shop. It has good vibe however, I found some food isn’t quite authentic. I tried Japanese, Chinese and some Thai. Japanese and Chinese foods were pretty good and definitely recommend it. However, Thai food was extremely disappointing, tried red-curry and pad-Thai both of them were not edible taste at all, literally binned both dishes.

The place looks nice and clean and the service was nice. However, the tacos, did not meet expectations. The tortillas weren't fresh, the chicken lacked flavour and was dry. Considering the price of £8 for two tacos, I anticipated a higher quality meal.

I like the idea of having food markets, we see these around the world and there is always a hype. I liked the fact we have started to see more in the UK and the mercato in ilford is actually quite decent. I have been here a few times now but on this occasion on a weekend it was very quiet to what I expected.

Other previous occasions it was buzzing and entertaining but I think it may have lost its novelty. Quiet, bare, hardly any customers and no entertainment. Hopefully it can improve but what I saw was a few food places no longer existing, maybe forced to shut due to lack of demand. I do think it is worth a visit and an experience at that as we don't have many of these around.

The food is quite good at all the places I've tried and price wise I would say higher end of average prices but small compared to restaurants. It's not a direct comparison.

A very wide selection of stalls available here. All take card and offer lunch time menus between 12-5pm on weekdays.

The lunch options are not great to be honest.

Toilets available and very clean to my surprise.

Can park in the local multi story car park which is relatively cheap. The food court is only a few minutes away from there which is very helpful.

I tried the Birria Tacos which was really nice. It's quite pricey given the size of the tacos.

I had the Mix grill for 1 in the Butchers grill. Very disappointing. The meat didnt really have much flavour. Rice was bog standard rice and the chips were overcooked. You could barely use a fork with them.

Update: Got a response to my review and was asked to contact them via email. I followed up only to get a message saying it is an automated message and not to worry about it. Not very impressed.

I went with my kids and took food from butcher grill and a Mexican food stall. Both were excellent and a good value for money.
Very nice environment. Not very busy when we visited. Lots of halal options.
Also have good seating arrangements with warm lighting. Jebin especially was a very nice with us and waited our tables with a big smile

Badini gelato coffee and crepe had this awesome gelato croissant. A must try. Literally made my day

This is new to Ilford area. A nice place to chill out that don’t needed a jacket. Food stalls is good a lot of food to choose from. Service from Jabin is great, helping us to tidy up the area. Drinks bit pricey.
